Dear Friends,

We would like to start off by wishing everyone a very happy Summer and congratulating you on surviving one of biggest winters on record! The Mammoth Lakes Lions Club is excited to bring a new event to the Eastern Sierra. It is our pleasure to announce Eastern Sierra Tails & Trails Dog Fest, a family fun dog walk event. Eastern Sierra Tails & Trails Dog Fest is Sunday, September 17, 2017, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hayden Cabin in Mammoth Lakes and will feature a Pet Walk as well as live music, food, games, and fun for the whole family!

This pawsitively awesome event is a fundraising effort presented by the Mammoth Lakes Lions for sight related care. Fundraising efforts will help provide eye and hearing tests as well as sight and hearing equipment for young students and elderly in the community. In addition, the event will help to support systems like Canine Companions for Independence and Guide Dogs for the Blind.

The Eastern Sierra Tails & Trails is also a great opportunity to spread a reminder to all about pet etiquette. Through a fun-filled day of quality pet time, we will remind everyone of the importance of cleaning up after our furry friends and keeping dogs on leashes on our designated community trails. To underline the importance of cleaning up the Lions Club will donate a portion of the proceeds back to the Town of Mammoth Lakes in support of dog waste stations/ dog bag dispensers and waste receptacles.

Why Sponsor?

* Pet ownership and support of pet related events is growing every year. Pets are part of many American families. -Sixty-eight percent of U.S. households, or about 85 million families, own a pet according to the 2016-2017 Pet Owners Survey conducted by the American Pet Products Association (APPA). *Association with pet-related philanthropic organizations raises affinity for your brand or business. * You would be helping the Mammoth Lions in their efforts to beautify the area for all to enjoy including pets and their humans as well as those that visit the area.

We need your help to create a better place for those in need and for our four-legged friends and their owners in Mammoth!

All donations and sponsorship should be mailed to Mammoth Lakes Lions Club, Po Box 17 Mammoth Lakes Ca, 93546 or by Pay Pal account MammothLakeslionsClub.

I would also be more than happy to pick up donations or sponsorships in person, just give me a call 760-914-1271. The deadline to be a Big Dog Sponsor and be featured on our 4•h of July advertising will be June 26’h. Best Friends of Tails and Trails, Alpha Dogs, and Leader of the Pack sponsors will have until July 26’h and donations will be welcome up until the day of the event.

We want to thank you in advance for your support of The Mammoth Lakes Lions Club and compassion for our four legged friends in Mammoth. Without your support and compassion, our mission would not be possible. We hope you will be able to attend and enjoy the fun with us!

Sincerely,
Alicia Olson
